What is Easier to Win, Single or Daily Entry Competitions?

If you are creating a daily competition habit then you might be wondering where it is best to focus your efforts.

Should you be entering single entry competitions or daily competitions? Which one is more likely for you to win the prize that you want? Which one has better odds that makes winning easier?

Carry on reading to find out more about these competitions and which one is more likely to yield you the results you are looking for.

The Advantages of Both

There are both advantages and disadvantages to both single entry competitions and daily entry competitions.

You are only able to enter single entry competitions once, which is great as you can submit your entry and you’re done, you won’t need to think about it anymore. Single entry competitions are also less time consuming, so you will be able to enter more of these competitions in the same period of time and you will have the chance to win an assortment of prizes.

Also, everyone has the same odds of winning a single entry competition as everyone can only enter once, so you will all have an equal chance of walking away with the prize. However, this also means that you do not have the opportunity to put the odds in your favour.

Daily entry competitions allow you to enter the competition every single day up until the end date. Many people generally only enter these type of competitions once or twice as they don’t have the persistence to keep going back to enter daily. If you take the time to enter every single day, you will have the advantage, but if you don’t enter every day then you will give the advantage to other compers that do.

You might be wondering if there is a balance between these two…

Finding the Balance

You will have better odds of winning daily competitions if you have the time to enter the competitions often.

This is because those who enter, probably won’t enter every day. If you enter every day then your odds of winning will be greatly improved.

However, it can be time consuming to enter every day. If the competition runs for a month, for instance, then you will need to go back and enter this competition for the next 30 day. In the time you spent entering this competition every day, you could have entered 30 other competitions.

You should then split your time between the two types of competitions.

You will first need to determine the amount of time that you have to dedicate to entering competitions every day. It is a good idea to bookmark the daily entry competitions so that you can quickly head to these competitions. Three quarters of the time that you have dedicated to entering competitions daily should be used on daily entry competitions and you should prioritise them according to the prizes you really want to win.

The remainder of the time that you have allocated should be used entering single entry competitions, which will give you a diverse chance of winning. These competitions should be prioritised according to those that are ending soon, so that you don’t miss a chance to win.

Other Entry Frequencies Competitions

Weekly and monthly entry competitions have similar advantages and disadvantages of daily and single entry competitions. With these type of entry frequencies, it doesn’t take as long to get the maximum number of entries in as it does with daily entry competitions, but you are able to increase your odds over those that don’t enter as regularly.

You should set aside a regular time slot to enter these competitions like the first day of the month for monthly entry competitions and a Saturday morning could be a good time to enter weekly entry competitions.

A Small Chance is Better Than No Chance

You need to be aware of how competition odds work so that you know which competitions are easier to win. However, even a small chance of winning is better than no chance at all. So, even if a daily, weekly or monthly competition is close to its end date, it is still a good idea to enter even if it’s just one entry.

The odds of winning a daily competition is higher but remember that it only takes one entry to possibly win and if you don’t enter at all then you have no chance of winning. If the prize is nice then enter and hope for the best.

There are a number of online competitions out there and you do need to get into a habit to set time aside to enter these so that you have the chance to win an awesome prize.
